Location: St. Libory, Illinois

Wenneman Meat Company, located in St. Libory, Illinois, constructed a $6 million facility located along Route 15 in St. Libory and is adjacent to the company’s previous site which was destroyed by fire in January 2011. This 22,000 square foot processing facility that houses a largely expanded retail area, a slaughter floor, processing area, and office space. The facility’s design utilized the most efficient and cost-effective methods in the industry.

Beginning in April 2011 the project was subject to an expedited schedule in order to comply with an October 2011 completion date. Footings were poured in May and the project was considered substantially complete on September 26, 2011, allowing the company an early October opening date.
